Check the supplier against the product
A supplier may be real but still wrong for the product. Plush, PVC figures, vinyl toys, acrylic accessories and packaging-heavy collectibles need different capabilities.
Check the sample against the brief
Compare sample photos or videos against materials, color, size, stitching, paint, finish, hardware, packaging and labeling requirements.
Do not approve production from a sample that has unresolved details unless the supplier has clearly confirmed what will change.
Check IP and compliance early
Avoid unauthorized branded products, copycat characters and unclear image references. For original products, keep ownership and authorization documentation organized.
Discuss testing, age grading and destination-market requirements before production timing is locked.
